Packed my entire kitchen in two hours. I had budgeted a full weekend to do it badly myself. Every glass arrived intact.
Labor-Only Movers and Heavy Lifting
You have the truck. You have the container. What you do not have is four people and a dolly.

Labor-only is the cheapest way to use professional movers. You supply the vehicle, a rental truck, a shipping container in the driveway or a trailer, and we supply the crew, the dollies, the straps and the blankets. Same three-hour minimum, same hourly rate, none of the truck cost.
Loading a container properly is a skill, not brute force. Weight goes low and forward, tiers get strapped off every few feet, and soft goods fill the voids so nothing shifts on the highway. A badly loaded pod is how furniture arrives broken in another state, and the difference is entirely in the first two hours of stacking.
We also do in-home moves that never touch a truck. A piano from the living room to the basement, a gun safe up a flight of stairs, a sleeper sofa through a doorway it was never designed for, a whole apartment shifted one floor up during a renovation. Heavy, awkward, short-distance work is exactly what the crews are trained for.
Staging and construction help falls under the same booking. Emptying a room before flooring goes in, clearing a garage before a sale, moving furniture out and back for painters. If it needs strong people with the right equipment for a few hours, this is the line item.

Clients who booked this
Labor only, I rented the truck. They loaded it tighter than I thought was physically possible and nothing shifted on a six-hundred-mile drive.
Certificate of insurance in my building manager's inbox forty minutes after I asked. Previous company took three days and still got the address wrong.
Labor-only help: common questions
Do you bring equipment if I only book labor?
Yes. Appliance and furniture dollies, ratchet straps, moving blankets and basic hand tools come with the crew at no extra charge. You only supply the vehicle or container.
Can you move a piano down to a basement?
Upright pianos, yes, with a flat fee on top of the hourly rate depending on the stairs and turns. Grand pianos we handle case by case, and we will tell you if the job needs a dedicated piano specialist instead.
Is there a minimum for a single heavy item?
The three-hour minimum applies even if the job takes forty minutes. That is the honest tradeoff for sending a full crew and equipment across town for one piece.
